It was such a pleasure to host the Luray-Page Chamber of Commerce’s Business After Hours event with our partner Bijou’s Sweet Treats!!! What a wonderful evening with plenty of sunshine, great networking and, of course, wonderful sweet and savory treats from baker and cake decorator extraordinaire, Amy Chan!
We really loved co-hosting the event and are very appreciative to all those who came out to see the farm (manicured to perfection by farm manager Shawn Bradley and staff!) and we are also grateful to the Chamber staff for helping with the advertising and coordination.
For the wedding-themed event, we also partnered with three other great local businesses:
Jen Perrot with Flourish Root in Sperryville arranged stunning floral displays using bright zinnias, gomphrena, sprays of grasses and native favorites which are now in full bloom – asters and goldenrod. With an artist’s eye, Jenn is able to combine colors and textures to create one of a kind bouquets. She notes ‘we gather the flowering, green and natural beauty that surrounds us every day and transform those inspirations into spectacular works and beautiful spaces to enhance your home, life and events.’
Anita Riggleman, owner of Valley Heirlooms in Harrisonburg, has a unique business bringing antiques and accessories to wedding and other events to create charming photo opportunities. Her settees, divans and couches are so special, they even get names like Zelda, Matilda and Samantha. She completes outdoor rooms with a collection of rugs, tables, bird cages, books and other details.
Ashley Pritchard with Ashley and Ashley Photography came out and captured images showcasing both their talent and that of the other professionals. Specializing in destination weddings, newborns, children, families, seniors and engagements, Ashley and Ashley also conduct maternity photo-shoots and they do travel to capture your special events.
