We greatly enjoyed the visit from Page County School’s summer enrichment classes!
The youngest students helped our avian community by feeding the birds with special seed cakes they had made and the teachers discussed the bird habitat and let the kids name the materials they saw that the birds could use to build their nests. We took a short walk along the river trail and had a great time on a warm summer day.
The following week, we had the pleasure of hosting the third through fifth graders who also got to take a walk along the river trail and see the river. We spotted various insects, spiders and butterflies including a nice preying mantis.
